This sounds like fun. Just an update. I was released as bishop last sunday but probably won't have much of a rest. Spencer Mack, the high priest group leader told me he was anxiously anticipating my return to our home ward. The bishop asked how long I wanted the vacation to last. I told him less than a week. Bro. Covington, the ward executive secretary, came over to our house to do his home teaching and he said my name had been discussed in bishopric meeting Sunday morning. Well, I'm hoping for a calling in the nursery, but don't think that will happen. Life is good, but much different now. The keys to the chapel and the BYU 201st ward, along with the binder I carried for three years, are all now in the hands of another bishop. The weight is gone and I feel it.
Congratulations on the hair and Alan's new calling. I'd suggest that both will be good changes for you, as long as Soren still recognizes both of you.
